Banoviči is a medium-sized mining town, built just after the Second World War. It is seriously lacking in community centres. Apart from the youth centre there is a gym, a football pitch and a neglected House of Culture. It is about 45 minutes drive from Tuzla which you can catch a bus to several times a day.

Volunteers here would be expected to work with preschool children doing creative activities. They would appreciate a Computer Science student for help with Computer Science classes, and would also like volunteers to organize some social evenings with older students, getting them in touch with their peers and giving them the opportunity to learn. Volunteers are particularly needed in the Summer months, and would have to find their own accomodation in the city to live in during their stay.
