This town was badly affected by the war. It was completely divided (hence the two names) and there are still problems with ethnic integration here.

The centre has English, German, Music, Art, Computer and Drama classes for children between the ages of 7 and 18. Up to 200 children visit the centre daily. American volunteers visit the centre during the summer but OXAB volunteers would be greatly appreciated throughout Easter. It would be good if they could work with the local youth volunteers here to teach them how to transfer their knowledge to teach the younger children. It would be a good idea to have a project, which could result in a performance at the end of their stay. The volunteers would be able to rent a house in the town. The director speaks some English but there is also an English teacher here. Both are extremely friendly.
